The "Ugly Angel Memorial Foundation" is the custodian of a Vietnam era Sikorski UH 34D helicopter that is known as the flying memorial. It flew in Vietnam from 1965 to 1968 for HMM 362 - The Ugly Angels.
Today It is a functional flying helicopter that is flown around the Midwest to schools airshows and Veteran events to educate and share the stories of our veterans. On the side of the helicopter is a plaque with 33 names of the Ugly Angel squadron members, Marines, who did not return home from Vietnam. Every flight they take honors them.
