Herringbone twill tape (HBT)
Undyed natural beige cotton. Standard issue from WWI to early WWII.
Cotton Herringbone Twill tape was the standard issue cord that soldiers used for suspending the dog tags around the neck and was eventually replaced by the ball-chain in the mid 40s.
To get an aged look on the twill tape soak it in hot coffee for a few minutes.

Our leather and Cotton Twill cords are cut to length from a spool and come untied. We recommend knotting your cord necklace using these instructions.
Most people wear their Dog Tags with a long and short stainless steel ballchain as per military tradition. However we have fasteners for many other uses such as identification for pets, keychains, luggage, mailboxes, crab-traps, belongings, and whatever else you can come up with!
Each Dog Tag set includes a basic long and short chain for no extra cost. If you require extra chains, sheaths, or application specific fasteners you can order them here.
